On April 18, the U.S. House of Representatives Committee on Agriculture held a mark-up on H.R. 2, The Agriculture and Nutrition Act of 2018, commonly known as the Farm Bill. Included in the base text of the bill was language to reauthorize the Pesticide Registration Improvement Act (PRIA) for 7 years. The inclusion of this reauthorization was supported by HCPA and the language remained in the House Farm bill at the end of the mark-up. We expect the Farm Bill to be reported out of Committee in the next couple of weeks and then proceed to a floor vote in the U.S. House of Representatives.
