FIFRA Scientific Advisory Panel (SAP) Meets to Consider and Review “Efficacy Testing of Pesticides Used for Invertebrate Pests and Fire Ants”

The Federal Insecticide, Fungicide, and Rodenticide Act Scientific Advisory Panel (FIFRA SAP) met May 8 through 10 to consider and review guidelines for the “Efficacy Testing of Pesticides used for Invertebrate Pests and Fire Ants.” HCPA developed comprehensive written comments and Dr. Steve Bennett, vice president, scientific affairs, provided oral comments during the highly engaging technical panel. The EPA plans to gather the comments from the panelists and publish the meeting minutes within 90 days. The guidelines will be finalized in 2019.
