On June 20, Owen Caine, Executive Vice President, Government Relations & Public Policy, attended the Democracy Awards hosted by the Congressional Management Foundation. These awards are given to members of Congress, their staff and offices that excel in one of three categories: Workplace Environment, Transparency, and Constituent Services.
There are also two lifetime achievement awards given to members of Congress and a lifetime achievement award given to a Congressional staff member. The awards shed a valuable light on the positive work that so many offices do throughout the year that often goes unnoticed. In attendance at the event were Rep. Carbajal (D-CA), Sen. Daines (R-MT), Rep. DeSaulnier (D-CA), Sen. Rubio (R-FL), Rep. Khanna (D-CA) and Rep. Dingell (D-MI).
