Washington D.C. – The Household & Commercial Products Association (HCPA) released the following statement today regarding the U.S. Senate’s confirmation of Andrew Wheeler as Administrator of the United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), attributed to Steve Caldeira, President & CEO of HCPA.
“During his tenure as Acting Administrator, Andrew Wheeler has been a strong proponent of implementing the Frank R. Lautenberg Chemical Safety for the 21st Century Act, which amends the Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA) and reauthorizing the Pesticide Registration Improvement Act (PRIA), two of our members’ top public policy priorities.
We are confident that the Administrator’s focused and common-sense leadership will continue to enable collaboration in our shared mission of protecting public health and the environment. HCPA has always had a productive relationship with the EPA, and we look forward to Administrator Wheeler addressing HCPA members at our Mid-Year Meeting in May.”
