Between June 11-14, the Efficacy Task Force, LLC (ETF), managed by Ignite Solutions, attended the Federal Insecticide, Fungicide, and Rodenticide Act (FIFRA) Scientific Advisory Panel (SAP) on the Proposed Guidelines for Efficacy Testing of Topically Applied Pesticides Used Against Certain Ectoparasitic Pests on Pets.

The ETF is comprised of companies that determine whether data bridging documents will satisfy the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) efficacy data gap requirements for the reregistration of products containing several active ingredients. Additionally, the group collaborates with the EPA on implementing protocols for data development that would support products for public health uses intended to control certain pests. The ETF also engages with the EPA for advocacy efforts, as well as state and local governments, in support of registration, marketing, distribution, and use of products. With these objectives in mind, the ETF was pleased to attend the FIFRA SAP meeting to gain insight into the development of these guidelines.
