The Consumer Specialty Products Association (CSPA) recently honored Hal Ambuter, senior director, regulatory and government affairs, North America, RB, with the CSPA Chairman’s award. Bill Auriemma, chairman, CSPA Board of Directors, presented Hal his award during the third general session at XPAND2017, CSPA’s annual meeting.

“Hal’s consistent engagement encourages conversation among industry leaders, and drives innovation in the household and commercial products industry. His enthusiasm, complemented by his readiness to collaborate, has earned him the reputation of being both a leader and a team player,” said Bill Auriemma. “We are very fortunate to have Hal protecting and furthering the best interests of our industry.”

“Hal’s entrepreneurial outlook and experience in the industry has been extremely valuable to our organization,” Steve Caldeira said. “In addition to the central role he played in the passing of California’s SB 258, the Cleaning Product Right to Know Act of 2017, he has worked tirelessly to amplify our industry’s voice in front of key stakeholders and policymakers.”

Hal was born and raised in Boston, Mass. and has a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from Tufts University. Hal has maintained a strong relationship with CSPA for many many years, and has served as the Chairman of the Cleaning Product Division for the past three years. He is heavily involved in the regulatory and government affairs side of business, but maintains an appreciation for his “first love,” the cleaning division.
