The Household & Commercial Products Association (HCPA) and the Center for Biocide Chemistries (CBC) hosted an industry update meeting with the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) on July 24. The EPA presented on topics of mutual interest to both HCPA and CBC, which included implementation of the 810 Efficacy Guidelines, non-Pesticide Registration Improvement Act actions, ingredient disclosure and the Antimicrobial Performance Evaluation Program.

HCPA has been working directly with the EPA on clarifications to specific sections of the 810 Guidelines. During this meeting, the EPA reported that it is making updates to the repeat testing section as a direct result of feedback from  HCPA. The EPA also provided a status update to the audience on staffing within the EPA’s Office of Pesticide Programs.

This quarterly meeting provides an opportunity for industry stakeholders to receive updates on the EPA’s actions, as well as to continue collaborating on topics of interest for allied stakeholders and HCPA member companies.
