Products Represented

Automotive products include the products that are used by consumers and service centers to maintain and protect automobiles. This includes antifreeze, automotive cleaners and degreasers, fuel additives, polishes, and waxes.  Industrial products include those that are used in the manufacturing process or to maintain machinery and equipment. This includes products such as industrial cleaners, belt dressings, cutting oils, mold releases, and multi-purpose solvents.

Priority Issues

Access to Priority Products to Maintain Healthy Environments in Food Processing Facilities
Maintaining a healthy environment in a food processing facility is essential for ensuring food safety, protecting human health, and preserving product quality. Clean, well-managed facilities reduce the risk of contamination from harmful bacteria, allergens, and foreign materials that can compromise food products. An important part of this effort is selecting the correct cleaning products, disinfectants, lubricants, and other chemical solutions, and using them in accordance with label directions.

Advocacy on Small Containers of Automotive Refrigerant
HCPA advocates at the federal and state levels to ensure consumers have access to small containers of automotive refrigerant. These products are important to the “do it yourself” or DIY community that maintains their automotive vehicles themselves rather than going to a mechanic shop.  Many in the DIY community are part of disadvantaged communities, and it is important that they have access to these products and are not disproportionately burdened by regulatory activity.

Solvent Cleaning Operations
HCPA engages each state that promulgates rules that impact the type and amount of solvent used for cleaning within industrial operations.
