Seeking Collaboration, HCPA Visits Institute for In Vitro Sciences (IIVS) in Gaithersburg, MD

On January 18, Dr. Steve Bennett, Senior Vice President, Scientific Affairs, and Nicholas Georges, Director, Scientific & International Affairs, visited the Institute for In Vitro Sciences (IIVS) and met with Hans Raabe, VP Chief Operating Officer, Gertrude; Emilia Costin, Study Director; Holger Behrsing, Principal Scientist, P.I. Respiratory Toxicology; and Brent Gilbert, Business Development Manager. During the visit, both Dr. Bennett and Georges learned of IIVS’ capabilities, toured their laboratories, and discussed potential opportunities for collaboration. For context, IIVS is a non-profit organization dedicated to the development and promotion of non-animal testing methods.
With both legislative and regulatory drivers looking to reduce animal testing, it is important for HCPA to connect member companies to experts in this field.
