Event Info

Legislators and regulators across the country and around the world are considering proposals aimed at increasing sustainability and eliminating waste.  These proposals impact a broad range of consumer goods, ranging from plastic straws to electronics, placing responsibility on manufacturers for the ultimate disposal of goods.  As Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) proposals gain popular support, producers are looking for solutions to both improve supply chains and reduce financial exposure.

Join HCPA for a webinar on Thursday, September 26 at 2:00pm ET.  Entitled “Diverting Waste: A Review of State and Federal EPR Proposals,” the webinar will review both enacted and proposed EPR legislation throughout the country and forecast future EPR trends.  Public policy experts, including advocates and Capitol Hill staff, will lead a discussion on the most recent federal proposal and answer questions.

Speakers:

  • Owen Caine, Executive Vice President, Government Relations & Public Policy, HCPA
  • Kevin Canan, Managing Partner, Main Street Advocacy and Executive Director, Product Management Alliance
  • Jonathan Black, Senior Policy Advisor, U.S. Senator Tom Udall (D-NM)
