On March 21, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) released its second list of chemicals to identify the top candidates for high priority designation, as required by the Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA). The release of this list now initiates the overall risk evaluation process of each of these chemicals, culminating in a final risk management ruling between 2023-2026. These evaluations will require countless numbers of engagements with the EPA, potential data generation, and overall collaboration across industry stakeholders to ensure the best methodologies, protocols, and scientific data is provided. These activities, and more, can be facilitated by HCPA’s Ignite Solutions.

Ignite Solutions currently manages more than 25 active task forces that specialize in TSCA related activities and industry initiatives. This type of industry collaboration not only provides cost sharing capabilities for the members involved, but also creates an industry voice on any given topic that will carry additional weight during policy, regulatory or scientific discussions. These types of partnerships are encouraged by the EPA, as it helps reduce the workload for their staff and increases the efficiencies of the overall review process.

Please contact Zach Parkhill, Project Manager, at zparkhill@thehcpa.org if you would like to discuss how Ignite Solutions can assist your TSCA related efforts.
