HCPA’s Antimicrobial Products Division Meets with the EPA

On January 21, HCPA’s Antimicrobial Products Division met with the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to discuss comments that HCPA submitted on the Agency’s Frequently Asked Questions for the 810 Efficacy Guidelines. The EPA agreed with most of HCPA’s suggestions, and committed to clarify specific scenarios for Agency consultation if the concentration of the active ingredient is below the lower certified limit.
HCPA and the EPA also discussed future collaboration on the Agency’s draft Strategy document for selecting and testing hospital disinfectants.
