On June 18 and 19, the Automotive Specialty Products Alliance (ASPA) held its Spring Meeting in Charlotte, North Carolina. ASPA was founded by the Household & Commercial Products Association (HCPA), the Auto Care Association (ACA), and the Motor & Equipment Manufacturers Association (MEMA) to provide a unified industry voice for its members who are engaged in the automotive chemical and vehicle appearance product markets. This group continues to monitor issues while also engaging with state, regional, and federal legislators and regulators.

The Spring Meeting allows these groups to collaborate on the industry’s most pressing issues, including ingredient communication, broader chemical regulation, and tariffs. The event also offers exciting networking opportunities, including an outing to a Charlotte Knights baseball game and a tour of the NASCAR Hall of Fame.

In Charlotte, HCPA was joined by our members Jean Mayszak, Chairwoman of ASPA and Regulatory Compliance Manager, Turtle Wax, and Sebastian Zelger, President, Liqui Moly USA. Also present was Brett Blackburn, ASPA Vice Chair and Fuels Global Product Manager, Lubrizol.

Representing HCPA were Jim Jones, Executive Vice President, Strategic Alliances & Industry Relations; Allyson Azar, Manager, State Government Relations & Public Policy; and J.D. Darr, Manager, State Government Relations & Public Policy.
