HCPA Discusses BIT with the Department of Commerce

On September 20, HCPA staff held a conference call with the U.S. Department of Commerce to discuss the ongoing concerns that HCPA members have with the supply shortage of Benzisothiazolinone (BIT) from China. Commerce, having reached out in response to the letter sent to Secretary Ross from HCPA President & CEO, Steve Caldeira, was eager to find out additional information and offer its help to find a solution to the problem. As HCPA continues to gather additional requested information for Commerce, we will keep our members informed of possible solutions, as they arise.
