HCPA Attends New York Chemistry Council’s Annual Meeting and State House Day in Albany, NY

On January 22, Owen Caine, Executive Vice President, Government Relations & Public Policy, and J.D. Darr, Manager, State Government Relations & Public Policy, attended the New York Chemistry Council’s Annual Meeting and State House Day. Attended by members of the chemical community throughout the state of New York, the Annual Meeting consisted of a legislative forecast for 2019, speeches from State Senators Robert Jackson, Timothy Kennedy and Thomas O’Mara, and an update from the Department of Environmental Conservation’s (NYSDEC) Recycling Task Force. In the afternoon, groups of stakeholders held meetings with members of the legislature and their staff to outline their industry’s priorities for the new session of the year.
