Georges Attends Department of Transportation Meeting Ahead of Dangerous Goods Panel

On March 28, Nicholas Georges, Director, Scientific & International Affairs, attended the Department of Transportation (DOT) Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration (PHMSA) public meeting in preparation of the International Civil Aviation Organization’s (ICAO) Dangerous Goods Panel (DGP) Working Group 19 meeting (WG/19).
The aerosol working paper recommends aligning the maximum capacity for metal aerosol products on packaging instructions and design capacity to one liter. HCPA supports the UN Delegation’s recommendation to support this proposal.

The DGP will consider proposals for the 2021-2022 edition of the Technical Instructions for the Safe Transport of Dangerous Goods by Air. E. Gillett submitted a working paper, which you can review here, “Maximum Capacity of Metal Receptacles (Aerosols), Non-Refillable (IP.7 & IP.7A).”
