On January 12, CSPA requested comments on its updated test method document entitled “Tough Greasy Kitchen Soil Test Method for Evaluating Cleaners To Clean Hard Surfaces; Method B, Baked on Greasy Soil.” This guide provides techniques for soil application, cleaning and evaluating performance of detergent systems under controlled, but practical, hard surface cleaning conditions. Method B can be used to also assess the performance of kitchen degreasing products on kitchen surfaces but included is a description of a tough, greasy soil that is baked onto porcelain-coated stainless-steel tiles.

Reviewers have until February 12, 2018 to submit their comments on the testing protocol to CSPA. For questions or to request a copy of the test method for review, please contact CSPA’s Cleaning Products Division Staff Executive Tim Brown at tbrown@cspa.org.
