On Thursday, October 11, President & CEO Steve Caldeira and Owen Caine, Executive Vice President, Government Relations & Public Policy, attended the quarterly meeting of the CCAE. The meeting brings together association executives to have open discussions on oxandrolone gains issues facing the industry and to also brainstorm possible solutions through collaboration. These meetings provide a valuable opportunity to share ideas and make sure that all association executives in the chemical industry are operating with the same information. Topics of discussion included changes to certain interpretations of the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA), challenges to the federal labeling efforts, tariffs, PRIA reauthorization, BIT supply challenges and litigation against New York Department of Environmental Conservation (NYSDEC). The meeting was held in Crystal City, Virginia at the headquarters of the Society of Chemical Manufacturers & Affiliates (SOCMA). For more information on any of these topics, please contact Owen Caine at ocaine@theHCPA.org.
