On January 31 and February 1, Steve Caldeira, president and CEO, Household & Commercial Products Association (HCPA), and Nicholas Georges, director, scientific affairs, HCPA, attended the Aerosol Dispensing Forum (ADF) in Paris, France. Considered a premier conference for suppliers, manufacturers and other key stakeholders in the aerosol industry, the conference hosted more than 7,000 attendees and 500 exhibitors. Experts spoke on a range of topics, including industry developments, regulatory factors, impacts of Brexit, latest innovations and current market trends.
Georges also serves as the Aerosol Division Staff Executive. His presentation, “Plastic Aerosol Research Group, LLC (PARG) Activity,” updated attendees on PARG’s accomplishments, the proposed Plastic Aerosol 3 code changes for National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) 30B as well as the International Fire Code (IFC) and potential future work. “It was a great show; we would love to see the ADF conference in New York reach the size of this one,” Georges said.
Caldeira’s presentation, entitled “U.S. and Global Legislative and Regulatory Issues Affecting the Aerosols Industry,” provided an overview of the current status of the U.S. regulatory outlook and HCPA’s initiatives, both at large and for the aerosol industry. “Seeing so many participants in the aerosol industry come together speaks highly of the experts and passionate professionals in this field. HCPA looks forward to continuing support of the aerosol industry,” Caldeira added.
