On January 17, Owen Caine, executive vice president, government relations and public policy, CSPA, and Pete Vujovich, director, state government relations and public policy, CSPA, met with government relations staff from the Personal Care Products Council (PCPC), the American Cleaning Institute (ACI), the Grocery Manufacturers Association (GMA) and the American Chemistry Council (ACC), to evaluate the upcoming legislative year in Washington, D.C.

The group discussed chemical legislative changes regarding state, federal, and retail regulations as well as bills expected to be introduced this year. They also discussed trends in regulatorily active states. Those in attendance agreed to work together on upcoming issues. “Collaboration and a unified approach (where possible) to legislation will strengthen the individual and collective impact we have moving forward,” Caine said.
