The alternative testing session at HCPA’s Annual Meeting will provide an overview of EPA’s strategy to promote new approach methodologies (NAMs) and encourage reduced animal testing. The recent release of EPA’s “Strategic Plan to Promote the Development and Implementation of Alternative Test Methods Within the TSCA Program” and “Interim Science Policy: Use of Alternative Approaches for Skin Sensitization as a Replacement for Laboratory Animal Testing,” highlight the direction and emphasis in both the FIFRA and TSCA programs.
