The Air Care Products Division conducted a strategy planning session on August 21 at the HCPA headquarters. Eleven members, senior HCPA staff, the executive director and staff of the Alliance for Consumer Education (ACE), and the president and senior staff of the Fragrance Creators Association (formerly the International Fragrance Association of North America) attended the meeting in Washington, DC. They were joined by approximately 20 HCPA members who participated via a WebEx connection.

The group identified specific short and long-term actions to continue implementing the Division’s proactive communication initiative to educate consumers about the benefits of air care and fragranced products, as well as correct misinformation related to household and commercial products and their ingredients. The Division continues to work collaboratively with allied trade associations to develop a coordinated industry-wide initiative to promote the fact that air care and fragranced products are a safe and beneficial solution for eliminating odors, freshening the air and imparting an overall sense of wellbeing.
